Togeth­er with ESA, we want to find out how satel­lite data can be used to facil­i­tate last-mile track­ing of sup­ply chains in remote areas. Often, aid deliv­ery can be tracked until the goods reach an inter­im stor­age facil­i­ty in a des­ti­na­tion country.

From there they have to be deliv­ered hun­dreds or thou­sands of miles to their final des­ti­na­tion, often in remote areas with­out a func­tion­al logis­tics infra­struc­ture, power, or inter­net con­nec­tion. Aid agen­cies face a tough chal­lenge to track and trace their goods until they have reached the beneficiaries.

Datarel­la has devel­oped and test­ed TRACK & TRUST, a fully dig­i­tized, secure, reli­able, and effi­cient track­ing solu­tion for valu­able goods on their sup­ply chain jour­neys in coöper­a­tion with lead­ing aid devel­op­ment agen­cies and logis­tics partners.

With the sup­port of satel­lite data we are envi­sion­ing a last-mile Track & Trust ser­vice that solves this chal­lenge. This very entic­ing sym­bio­sis of the foun­da­tion­al blockchain tech­nol­o­gy and space tech­nol­o­gy is one of the most fas­ci­nat­ing projects we have ever worked on.
